Greek for Travelers is a language acquisition program designed to provide visitors to Greece with survival communication skills, enough to get by in typical real-world situations. 

Topics of instruction include:

• Understanding and pronouncing the alphabet correctly.
• Greetings. 
• Telling the time.
• Taking a taxi cab.
• Using the metro and buses to get around.
• At the hotel.
• At the restaurant.
• At the super market.
• Asking for directions.
• At a store buying things.
• Visiting friends.

Based on personal needs and the outcomes of a placement test, students have the opportunity to enroll in the following beginner and intermediate courses and acquire the basics of Conversational Greek by studying at low, mid, and high levels of proficiency:

Transportation from the Airport, or the Port, to Downtown Athens 
Public transportation includes the Metro or underground subway, the suburban railway, buses, trams, electric buses or trolleys, taxis, and car rentals.

At the airport, tickets for the Metro or the bus should be purchased in advance at the ticket counter outside the Arrivals gate. 

Prepare your travel schedule in advance by getting to know the departure schedules.
